My name is Susan Watson my husband Danny and I are proud parents of identical twin 15 year old girls, Heather and Danielle. Besides being a full time mom, I do some substitute teaching, I make and sell Deerskin handbags, dream catchers and other assorted items through my company Smoky Mountain Deerskin Originals. I also am in a partnership with my good friend Susan Bowman. We have a gift shop in Sylva N.C. now called "The 2 Susan's", where I sell pet supplies, my handmade items, jewelry, and other assorted other stuff . Susan and I were co-leaders in our daughters girl scout troop for 8 years.
My family and I live in Cullowhee North Carolina, which is in the far western corner of North Carolina. We are a 50 miles west of Asheville NC, 100 east of Knoxville TN, and about 150 north of Atlanta GA.
I have been breeding dogs since 1984. I started out breeding German Shepherds , my first love. But after 10 years and several heartbreaking losses of my cherished first shepherds. I started focussing my breeding program towards small breed dogs. I now breed Chihuahua's, Yorkshire Terriers, and Newfoundlands. My pups are AKC and CKC registered, some are just CKC. I feed Purina Puppy Chow to all my dogs, even my adults. I have tried other brands, but I keep coming back to it because it has never been recalled, like some of the other brands of food I have tried. I have always wanted to show dogs but I have so little time left between helping out at my daughters school, substitute teaching, The 2 Susan's shop, my husband, our other family, my daughters volleyball games, basketball, breeding and taking care of my dogs and all my other pets, there just hasn't been enough time for it.
